Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power. ~ Abraham Lincoln

Abraham-lincoln-picture I have worked for powerful men who were leaders, and I have worked for powerful men who wouldn't know leadership skill if it punched them in the mouth. 

I can spot a "power-tripper" a mile away; they tell everyone repeatedly how powerful they are (presumably because everyone keeps forgetting). 

The most powerful men never talk about their power, they spend their energy empowering other people to be great. 

Today I salute the quietly powerful.  ~tb
